Former Wild center, Sergei Zholtok died Tuesday of a heart attack. Here’s a couple of news links.

Minneapolis Star Tribune
When he played for the Wild he was my favorite player on the team. And from what I read he was a great father and husband, well liked by all of his team mates, and willing to give to the communities he was in.

I’m sure you already know this, but today is election day. You’ve had it crammed down your throat for the last, oh about 12 months with ever increasing intensity. I’m going to give you, whoever you may be, some of the best advice on voting right now.
VOTE YOUR CONSCIENCE!
Using the presidential race as an example. You hear your two options are Bush or Kerry. Essentially this is true. Because one of those two will win the election (be it today or whenever they figure it out). But these are not your only choices. Because you shouldn’t be limited to those 2. There will probably be 3 or 4 other candidates on the ballot. You should pick the one you feel would make the best president. Too many people get caught up into thinking they have to vote for a winner; or at least someone they think could win. I’m going to put it out there. If you didn’t know already, I’m voting for Nader. Now I’ve had I don’t know how many people tell me I’m “wasting my vote.” That’s bullshit. I’m not wasting anything. I’m voting for who I believe is going to make the best president. Do I really think Nader will win? No. I’m realistic enough to realize this. What I do hope to do by voting for Nader is make an example of myself. If everyone vote for who they believe is the best person for office, then this country would be a very different place.

Wow has it already been a week since I checked in? It doesn’t seem that long. Not much of anything fabulous has been going on in my life. I got the housing situation in Plymouth all figured out and it looks like I’m moving on Saturday. But that won’t mean all of my stuff is coming with me. Things like my dresser and bookshelf will have to wait until my dad can take his truck down. That will probably be a few days later. Once I’m down there, the pressure will be on to find a job. I’m unable to get accepted as a renter on the place I’m moving into, so for now I’ll be subleting. We have plans to get a new lease drawn up in December when a new guy moves in and I have a job. So that’ll mean I need a job in less than 3 weeks. Whether that means fast food or my dream job, I don’t know.
Because of my move, I’ll no longer be hosting this from my parents cable internet connection. I have to see how things are going to work out down there before I make any moves. Chances are I’ll throw it on my friends cable connection for a little while and then once I get some money, I’ll buy hosting. I’m going to miss the authority of my own server though. On one hand, it’s nice to know that my server will be up almost all of the time and that it’ll be on a fast connection. I just won’t have the customizability. Which, I’m not so sure I need. As long as I get a host with PHP and a few MySQL databases, I should be ok. So what this all boils down to is the site may go down for a few days or even weeks while I get things figured out. I’m sure so many of you will be just crushed.
