That argument is also bullshit. Microsoft can't bundle a browser with it's OS. They can add a rendering engine component to Office. Why couldn't they make IE part of the Office bundle? You're just making up artificial roadblocks.

MS can't rely on IE for rendering because legal rulings prevent them from bundling it with Windows. In Windows 7, IE will be a seperate download. Therefore Office must rely on its own rendering engine. That's not to say it shouldn;t be improved, but that's one reason they can't use IE that is outside their control. Courts make these rulings based on the financial wins and losses of corporations. Unfortunately, they don't seem to consider the impact that their rulings will have on the users of the software.
