You might have wondered why I haven’t been posting reviews here. Well the truth is, I rarely write them. My role at Decoy has shifted to more coding and support rather than content writing, but I still find time to write once in awhile. I’ve gone ahead and added reviews for Sworn Enemy, Bullet For My Valentine, and If Hope Dies.
I’ve also been working on my new design some more. At this point I’m wondering if I’ll ever get this site relaunched, but I’m hoping I will be able to soon. I fixed a few CSS snags I was running into over the weekend and eventually I’ll get it up and running.

I finally got around to updating to Wordpress 2.0. I have to say the new interface is pretty damn slick. Lots of improvements. I’m glad there were no headaches from upgrading. Now to install the Tiger Admin Interface!
Update: I spoke too soon. My artwork and about me page is throwing errors (Grrrr!). I’m working on it now so it should be fixed soon.
Second update: Fixed and running smoothly now.

Well, if you haven’t noticed. I’ve been down for quite some time. To make a long story short, I’m no longer self-hosting. That’s right I bought a host, so no more downtime.
Lately, I’ve had the chance to attend two weddings. Andy and Amanda are now offically hitched and my college friend Nick just go married to his girl Nicole. Craziness! I feel like I’m getting behind. I haven’t had a serious girlfriend for years and right now I don’t really care if I get married anytime soon. Seems like when I was young this was always right about the time people got married and started a family. I still come home from work every day and think about what video games I’m going to play or where I’m partying that night. I can’t imagine having a wife let a lone a kid. So my friends, I beg you, quit getting married. You’re making me feel old damn it!

Well, as promised, my site is back in action. I actually didn’t have that hard of a time figuring out how to fix things. Just a few changes and it worked out ok. Now the trouble is my new site. I don’t know if I’ve posted the link directly, but it’s located here. Check it out. Make comments here. Thanks!

I kind of goofed up tonight. Yes, my layout is gone. In my quest for a more perfect blog, I decided to incorperate my blog into wordpress more kind of making it a theme instead of just a homebrew mess of code. Long story short… chances are I’ll give up on that design until I can get everything working again or I’ll just work on my new design instead and upload that when its ready to roll. We’ll see.
For now, enjoy my blog in Kubrick form. I know, I know all the cool stuff is gone which just leaves my crappy words to read. I’ll get it fixed soon.

A short year ago, I was graduating. Seems like not too long ago, but damn it’s been a year. I can definately say I never would’ve predicted what I’d be doing at this point. It’s pretty funny; a year out of a college and I’m still job searching. I guess the job search never ends.
I made it back to ole alma mater last weekend for a couple days. Mostly hung out with the parents, but I did some boozin and saw some old friends. I liked it so much, I’ll be headed back this week to see everyone graduate. Sad, but it may be the last I see of some people since I have a tendancy to not keep in touch very well. Even though email and instant messaging are there, sometimes I don’t even use those to keep in touch.
I’ve been plugging away at a new design I hope to unveil within a month here. Once again, it’ll be a step up from anything else I’ve ever done. I’m not quite sure on how long it’ll take to get things into working order, but the graphics are definately set. It’ just the code I need to work out. Of course I’m one of those people who designs on the fly. Sure I come into the project with a few ideas here and there, but I have to really get cranking on it before anything truely creative comes out. It’s like Pauly Jr. on American Chopper. He’ll star building a bike and as he goes along, he comes up with more and more ideas and little things to add. I’m exactly the same way. I never know what I’m going to end up with until I finish it. Usually that’s a good thing, unless I’m under a deadline. Then I usually struggle to reach for innovative ideas. I’m not sure I could make it in the business world as a web designer. I do my best work when I’m not under pressure and have time to just play around with ideas.
